The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is even better as its spinning pads clean your floors better than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a problem for those who want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to remove the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it encounters the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first pass. It can even remove wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of features that you don't often see on robots in this price. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice, but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel includes the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
