The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only downside is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's a small price to pay if you want one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones create little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move away when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something needs attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also has more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a specific path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that has a range of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are useful, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it slightly more expensive than the average homeowner need.

The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our test on the hard floor and removing all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
