Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for instance it was the largest piece ever made of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

Bentley is the most sought-after automobile brand worldwide due to its unique design and craftsmanship. The company is constantly pushing the boundaries with the latest technologies and craftsmanship. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear sunroof and a crafted Apple iPad docking station.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary this year, a century after it was established. The marque, which is now owned by Volkswagen alone following years of dispute with BMW and BMW, had planned a number of special launches and events to mark this significant occasion. Prior to the pandemic plan taking the center stage, the company held a series of special events and launches planned to commemorate this milestone event.

Design

The customized heating and ventilation system as well as the air conditioning system was designed to provide each passenger with the perfect temperature control.

The Mulsanne features a twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that puts out 560bhp and 479lb-ft torque. This power is paired with a new suspension system that gives Bentley's famously quiet ride.

Bentley has announced a special specification for cars built after the year 2019 in order to celebrate its centenary. It is known as the Centenary Specification. The cabin is equipped with cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are embossed in Centenary Gold, adding to the feeling of celebration. Function

The Bentley Mulsanne key has an open button on the trunk, and another button which starts the car. It also has a button to turn on the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors while parking in a tight space. This feature makes it easier to get in and out of your vehicle.

Each key takes two days to create. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, stitched, sealed, and then polished to give a superior result. It is lightweight and durable and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its design resembles the Volkswagen Phaeton's huge car key, but feels heavier and more premium.

Secure-A-Key is also included to help stop keyless entry theft. The device is placed inside the remote control key fob and disables it after a few minutes of inactivity, preventing thieves from transmitting the frequency of the key to other devices that can unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the company's values of fine craftsmanship and engineering expertise. It also includes cutting-edge technology. Over 4,000 people work at its Crewe headquarters, responsible for the design, development and production of Bentley automobiles. Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their own car. The "mood station" lets guests pick images that inspire them. They can range from picturesque vistas to sporting events. Each time a selection is made, a pattern emerges which shows the model and color preferences for the personalized Bentley.

The configuration that is created is stored on individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys, which are presented to guests in a hand-crafted key case. The keys can also be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps, which illuminate the door-opening pathway with the owner's name or emblem when they make their way towards the vehicle.

Bentley estimates it takes approximately 500 man hours to design and put together the typical Mulsanne. The main reason for this lengthy effort is a deliberate decision to take advantage of modern technology. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly-matched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. And rather than letting the car's built in sensors guide it to perpendicular and parallel parking spots the drivers must do it by hand.

Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities in the release of a special Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays tribute to William Osler, the founder of Bentley. Edition, which pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited-edition cars include a special key that displays a portion of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
