The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. But, vacuum and mop Combo unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice or go for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This vacuum works well both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. We like the claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and set up virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of higher-end models, vacuum and mop combo and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something needs attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's some items that need to be cleared out frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of features that you do not often find on robots at this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great but they also push the L10s into the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
