It also has the highest suction power of any robot we have examined, with 8,800Pa. It can also save your home's maps and schedule cleaning schedules using its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet/dry model includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan a space up to 32 feet by the 270-degree angle. This results in more precise mapping as well as faster response time and greater cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat made of chenille. This makes it easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than conventional mops. During my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and then got to work. I noticed that it was more precise than other models, which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able navigate corners and edges of my rooms, and also make "Zambani patterns" across the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dustbin, and clean the mop with hot water, before starting another cleaning task.

The X2 Omni performed impressively in my tests, achieving excellent scores in the removal of pet hair and debris cleaning, as well as close to perfect results in crevice and edge cleaning.

The Deebot T10 Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum that has impressive results in our tests for pet hair. It was able to remove more than 96% of the debris we tossed at it on our hardwood floors which is an impressive performance. It was a success on carpets and tiles cleaning up the majority of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mops comes with an extensive docking system that allows for automatic cleaning with cool water for the mop pads. It also comes with an auto-emptying 3L bag which is easy to replace and hot air drying for fast and easy maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows frequent washing and drying between mopping runs.

The Deebot T10 comes with a wash tray built into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It uses the wash tray to rinse and dry its mop pads while it is using them. However, it doesn't have an open tray, which means that dirty water dust, dirt and other grime slowly accumulates in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model from Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It comes with enhanced smarts, multiple map support, and LIDAR scanning, along with twin turbine suction technology that adjusts to the surface you're cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range vacuum cleaner, even if it doesn't exactly live up to its promise of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular form, sweeping wheels, and an elevated sensor area. On the other side there's a motorized floorbrush and a single side brush that pushes dust from the edges to the main path of its' mouth.' It's a little smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I found to be easier to get under chairs and sofas.

Its mapping system allows you to set up no-mop areas and specific cleaning zones. However, it has a tendency to bump into things (including its charging dock) and isn't always adept at climbing over rug. It was great at getting pet hair off of bare floors. In our tests it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of kitty litter.

Although it's controlled through the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base that allow you to select a cleaning mode, and turn the robot off and on. These buttons can be used to set up no-go areas and view real-time maps. It's a bit chatty as well, and will inform you of what it's going to do next ("start cleaning") or even warn you that something's not right (it does not have enough power to charge, for instance).

4. ILIFE A4s

This advanced model collects pet hair, kibble, and other particles with top-quality effectiveness and effortlessly moves around furniture legs. It has a feature set that is impressive, such as two cleaning modes, an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. It's Wi-Fi-connected and best controlled via the Neato app, where cleanings can be scheduled and overall maintenance needs are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for large homes with carpet, hard carpet and flooring, however it requires some advanced planning to avoid getting stuck on power cords, toys or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

This robot was very successful in our tests on hardwood floors and kibble. It picked up everything from one rice grain to several pet food pieces in only one sweep. It had some issues with rugs however, generally speaking the vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms that contain floors of different types as well as a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive however it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave the house without hands so that they can take on other tasks or do chores. The A4s Pro also offers a handy auto cleaning mode that automatically boosts suction power to handle difficult spills and dirt, and includes an electric ElectroWall which allows you to set boundaries that the Bagotte 4-in-1 Robot Vacuum Cleaner: Mop - Boost And Navigation isn't allowed to access.

This budget-friendly robot from a popular brand is the cheapest we've ever tested, and provides incredible value for money. Its basic navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm and it lacks the ability to map rooms. This renders it less efficient as other models on this list. However it's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners, and its mopping mode was very effective in our testing and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris with ease.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as durable however, it's better in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with a low pile and makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It can be sent to a specific area, and includes a variety of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It lets you stop and resume cleaning, making it perfect for homes with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll eliminates knots and holds up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It also has a set of angled side brushes that go deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system can capture dust, dander, and allergens to ensure a healthier air.

The iQ robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It works with an app on your smartphone that allows you to change the vacuum settings and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The iQ can do a decent job of removing bare floors and doing a fair job on shaggy and robot vacuum mops low-pile carpet however it lacks the same degree of autonomy as our top selections. It's also costly and its ongoing costs can become expensive over time.
