The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. It uses dual-laser LiDAR which is similar to what you'll find in self-driving vehicles and is able to scan an area of up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. Its basic navigation system uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm, but it doesn't have room mapping capabilities, which makes it less time efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners. Its mopping mode performed well in our tests by picking up hairs and other debris.

Shark's iQ might not be as well-built, but it is better in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning carpets with low piles and floors that are not covered. It also utilizes smart-pathing navigational software for greater mobility. It also allows you to transfer it to a particular area, and its advanced set of automation features include no-go zones as well as scheduling.
