2. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra

The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is an excellent robot vacuum and mop, with a surprising array of automation options. It comes in three versions including the standard S7, the S7 MaxV Plus and Ultimate Cleaning Convenience: Ultenic T10 Elite Robot Vacuum+ the S7 MaxV Ultra. Only the latter comes with an Empty Wash Fill Dock (or an alternative Auto-Empty Dock). These docks allow the robot to return to its base after a cleaning session, empty the collected debris into a dust collection bag or reservoir, empty its clogged water tank and wash its mopping pad.

The S7's sensors work in tandem to avoid obstacles and clean floors. It can recognize the types of floors and save the map of rooms and zones, and even detect levels of dirt. It can also plan and conduct spot cleaning sessions. It performed well in our standard tests, but it wasn't able to quite match the iRobot Roomba j7+ during the carpet deep clean test.

You can program the S7 by using the companion app to run a cleaning cycle according to your schedule. The bin can hold up to 60 days worth of debris It won't require emptying more often than that, unless you own lots of pets with hair that is long. If you have to empty it, all you need to do is untie the side bin, place it up to a trash can and press a button to empty its contents.

The Shark IQ XL is a excellent vacuum cleaner. It does a decent job of cleaning bare floors and it can maneuver itself well. However the Shark IQ XL feels a slightly less sturdy than the Roomba 694. It is able to remove a lot of debris on bare flooring and does a decent job of maneuvering itself however it isn't even close to the iRobot Roomba i7 in regards to performance on carpeted surfaces. The i7 is also more robust and feels more durable.
