The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is set up you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can select the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and does not lose suction as fast as some other models and can remove pet hair without difficulty. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. If it encounters a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and also washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something requires attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's a lot of items that need to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It can even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot mop vacuum combo is still quite large. It is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a set path.

The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. These are nice features however they can place the L10s in the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.
