The IQ app comes with advanced mapping and automated features, however it does not have no-go zones. They are only available on iRobot robots. Its smart-pathing navigational system results in greater maneuverability, and its high-pile carpet mode cleans well, but it tends to get caught up on rug tassels, and its ihome bobsweep robot vacuum vacuum (my review here) speaker lets you control the robot with voice commands.

In our tests, we observed that the IQ was able to handle pet hair effectively. It was able to get rid of lots of debris on bare floors, and a fair amount on medium-pile rug. It was less effective on shag carpets, where it had a hard time reaching dirt and dust embedded within the fibers. It did a decent job of maneuvering chair legs, tight spaces, and the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. We did notice it was a bit slower on floors that were not paved, but it regained speed and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tested.

The IQ is a more suitable option for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a larger dustbin, a longer battery life and is better in navigating around obstacles. It comes with a mopping tool that can remove sticky messes. On the other side, the iRobot is more durable and has fewer components that require replacement or maintenance, incurs lower recurring costs, and can create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It can even resume a cleaning session from where it left off in case it runs out of battery before finishing the job. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice, which can be an advantage for many users.

Eufy 11S

The eufy RoboVac 11S robot vacuum isn't one of the most advanced models, but it offers excellent cleaning power for a low cost. It's designed for budget-conscious buyers who don't require a complex mapping system or an app to control the device. The robot mop vacuum combo is capable of running for more than an hour and includes a remote, cleaning tool, AC power adapter, Ihome Robot vacuum charging base, and additional filters.

The 11S is slim and sleek and has a tempered-glass upper deck that appears like brushed aluminum. It's a nice contrast to Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more utilitarian and industrial.

In our tests, the eufy 11S was extremely effective at removing larger debris and fine dust on hard flooring. However, it struggled to provide medium and high pile carpeting an effective deep clean. It is also prone to hit furniture and people that are in its path however, it's able detect those obstacles using sensors. If it encounters them it ceases to move and emits an alarm so that you can manually guide it around the obstacle and get back to work.

Another great aspect of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode, which allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust the strength of its suction to match floor type and the level of mess. The remote control makes it simple to direct the 11S to the desired place.

Single Room Mode is a great option if you have little furniture in the space you'd like to vacuum. The eufy can spend up to 30 minutes cleaning the space it is assigned.

You can also select Edge Cleaning which restricts the amount of time in each location to 20 minutes for maximum battery life. If you select this option, the eufy will move in a spiral fashion, tackling corners and edges for an efficient clean.

Its air-sealed design and allergy-friendly design traps allergens, keeping your family healthy. It has an onboard HEPA and self-emptying bin which means you don't require additional filters or a vacuum bag.

It's not as effective as other models, but it's excellent for deep cleaning and taking on staining.
