The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. It does not use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do to map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of a button. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do and can clean up pet hair without difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries to ensure that the imartine robot vacuum is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay for if you want one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving along.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden from view and also washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong like the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you can wish for. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any samsung robot vacuum we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of convenience features that you do not often find on robots at this price. It can build precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are great, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category and could mean it's slightly more expensive than the average homeowner need.

Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
