The Q Revo is a fantastic option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up it can begin automated cleaning with a single button click. You can choose the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models and can clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used however we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

You can also create or combine rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors in the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These are nice features but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The front of the machine is adorned with a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
