But, unless you're a Blake's 7 fan it's not for you. The relationship between Avon and Vila is the central theme of the book and they clearly share a mutual respect for each other, but they have a strong dislike of their cowardice and ruthlessness.

Avon's soft side comes out when he has to make the difficult decisions that are necessary to protect his team. The characters are given a deal of depth and each one has their own unique character that makes them relatable. This is a book you will want to read more of. The writing is perfect, and the story is a true reflection of the place. It's an amazing piece of writing by an author who is at her best.

She gives the former California Perfume Company credit for breaking with the prescribed economic role imposed on women in 19th and 20th century America However, she shows how its rhetoric covered up what was actually a radical economic concept by wrapping it in ideals of domesticity and respectability.

In addition to offering a wide selection of women's fiction, Avon also has a strong line of crime and thrillers and an ever-growing selection of children's books. The most popular authors such as CL Taylor, Katerina Diamond and many other authors are published by Avon.

Avon's mission is to bring the best of commercial fiction to as many people as possible. Avon books are innovative, diverse and include some of the best talent in contemporary literature. The company has also a proud record of publishing historical fiction, especially in the realm of love stories from the past. Often called the house that built the historical romance, Avon is still the preferred publisher for authors like Tessa Dare and Lisa Kleypas.

The Author
