The X8 is a great vacuum cleaner for floors with no dust. It is able to easily throw debris through the side brushes and into its 400ml dust bin. Its tyres are adept at securing edges and corners even though they are circular. It's not a fantastic cat litter scooper, however, with our tests showing it can only remove about 90% of the fur from hard floors.

Other features of the 980 include two multi-surface rubber brushes which pick up dirt from carpet and hard floors and the spinning brush that sweeps debris into the robotic vacuum's bin. The sensors for floor tracking help it navigate around furniture and along edges, and Cliff Detect keeps the Roomba from slipping down stairs. It also automatically returns to the base station for easy charging between sessions. Although the 980's battery lifespan and bin size isn't as impressive as other robot vacuums it's a sturdy and reliable machine that can keep your floors clean for hours and hours.
