Instead using insinuation and storytelling.

Another thing I really enjoyed about this book was the way Heyer subtlely pointed out the women's limitations during this time. Leonie hates trading in her breeches for layers of petticoats and skirts, she isn't a fan of riding side-saddle, and is always shooting at villains to death (even when it's a dangerous job). While Avon is a little discomfitted by her rebellious ways at first but Avon soon realizes that he loves her.

I did find it a bit difficult to remember who was who in the beginning, since Heyer refers to the Duke using a variety of different names in the first couple of pages. Once you get it sorted out, it becomes much easier to read. This book was fantastic and I would highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed regardless of whether you're a Georgette Heyer lover or love romance in general!
