The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can choose the general clean option, robot vacuum and mop which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuum deals vacuums. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot says it will get better with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and set up virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub off the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and then moves on.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the hidden bin, as well as washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something needs attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's some clutter that must be cleaned out frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can also remove wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and robot vacuum and mop mop that comes with a range of features that you don't often see on robots of this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is among the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are great, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner need.

This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
