The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as other models do, to map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button press. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do and can clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price tag.

In terms of the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or watch television without being distracted. The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The app will only notify you if something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even remove wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium consumer Reports robot vacuum mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could need. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for Consumer reports Robot vacuum batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet with just one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead just following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4% debris from our test on hardwood floors and removing all but stubborn juice staining. The mops also work well in removing 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
